Michelle Valdivieso Hoskins, 38 of Kansas City, Kansas, died on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 17, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Church, 2910 Strong Ave. Kansas City, KS. Burial in Maple Hill Cemetery. Visitation on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the McGilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, MO from 6-8 p.m. where the Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m.

Michelle Valdivieso Hoskins, 38 of Kansas City, Kansas, died on Sunday, October 9, 2016. Michelle was born on June 28, 1978 in Kansas City, Missouri. Michelle was a graduate of J.C. Harmon High School in 1996 as a Kauffman Foundation Scholarship recipient. She was a graduate of Washburn University in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice. She had worked 15 years for Kansas City, Kansas-Wyandotte Unified Government. She was a supervisor in the Juvenile Probation Dept. She is survived by her husband, Chris Hoskins; her mother, Josephine Garcia; sons, Reuben Rivera II, Benicio Rivera; and stepson, Michael Hoskins; siblings, Juanita Garcia, Jesse Garcia, Joseph Garcia, Frankie Valdivieso (Angela) and Amanda Morales (Jason); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and one great-niece.
Michelle lit up the room with her smile and distinctive laugh. She is now our Guardian Angel. Michelle was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt and great friend to many. We will see you again.
